Sounds a generic slogan to get customers excited about something that probably isn’t very “standout” but in this case we think the statement applies.
We have recently set up 3A Steelworks 3asteelworks.co.uk which offers a small range of extraordinary garden products.
The market is full of generic black plastic coated archways, thin aluminium pergolas and the same style of wooden benches.
So we let our creative juices flow and after much workshop experimentation have come up with a range of unique garden features never seen before. Not only do they look fabulous (in our opinion) they are all functional and have a lifespan in excess of 25 years.

Our Corten Planters are made from 3mm thick Corten plate.
They appear to defy physics, balancing on a point. The large stand is ideally set below ground or hidden by surrounding pots to enhance the effect.
The weathered steel is a perfect companion to green foliage, trailing plants are shown off to full effect hanging from the inverted sides.
They can be used as features in their own right or planted for additional interest.
Standing tall and proud, our steel obelisks combine a silver stainless steel framework and weathered mild steel random internal lattice.
Structural, statement pieces, they will punctuate and provide rhythm to a planting scheme.
Perfect to provide support for climbing plants, we would recommend small growers though to ensure your obelisks remain on show!
As much a focal point, a practical seating. Each stainless steel framework is made to fit the Oak top. With its live, wavy edge, one is slightly different.
The angled struts supporting the oak are random and contained within a thick stainless steel box framework.
Built to last, the stainless steel will never rot or rust. The oak will age over time, forming small splits, adding to the character and providing more of a contrast to the timeless steel frame.
So simple and so effective, our weathered steel fins can be used for screening, partitioning, distorting boundaries, creating breaks in planting schemes or installed in snaking lines to lead your eye around the garden.
They are typically set in a Louvre style to form a solid visual barrier when viewed face on, gradually revealing a sight through when viewed from an angle.
Available in three heights, they come with pre-attached base plates ready to be secured to an existing hard surface, or they can be set in a new concrete base.
The only sculptures in our creative range. Inspired by one of the most architectural plants in the UK, the Phormium. Made from solid galvanised steel, they will provide a lifetime of interest.
Despite their longevity, there is enough flex in the long foliage to provide movement in a breeze, adding to their realism. They look especially effective surrounded by low planting or grass where they rise up, making a striking focal point.
We originally fabricated these just for our own use to add intrigue to wildflower areas around the workshop, but interest from customers purchasing edging and fencing has prompted us to include them in the range.
Probably our most adventurous construction to date.
The Tusk Garden Arch comes as separate “tusks” and can be installed in a number of configurations.
They are an exciting addition to any scheme, providing a dramatic and in our opinion romantic demarcation into a new area of the garden or simply as a feature in their own right.

As random as the climbers which adorn it, the winding steel bars and outer frame provide a super strong support able to hold the heaviest of climbing plants. During the dormant season, the twirling trellis continues to provide interest.
The trellis framework has loops for wall fixing, or we can supply steel posts to allow you to create freestanding screens.
